Job Description

The Quality Assurance Process manager will report to the Sr. Manager of Software Quality within the Supply Chain function and will support Motorola LMR Products and Services. This individual will be a “change agent” and will integrate quality checks throughout the development cycle of software tools and applications. This individual will be ensuring the development team integrates quality checks throughout the product development process. This role will also be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of processes and procedures used for improving the efficiency of quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement data-driven software quality engineering strategies aligned with Agile methodologies.
  • Define and track software quality metrics (KPIs) to measure and enhance software reliability.
  • Drive test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices to improve software delivery efficiency.
  • Lead code quality initiatives, ensuring proper code reviews, static analysis, and defect prevention techniques.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enforce software quality standards and optimize SDLC efficiency.
  • Utilize tools such as JIRA, SonarQube, BitBucket, Confluence, EasyBI, PowerBI, Tableau, and test automation frameworks to track and improve software quality.
  • Apply quality methodologies (DFMEA, Six Sigma, risk assessment frameworks) to enhance software reliability and reduce defects.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address software defects and performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, software security best practices, regulatory requirements).
  • Develop and maintain best practices, process improvements, and technical documentation for continuous quality enhancement.


Basic Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  •   5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Software Development, or QA Management.

  • Strong expertise in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and DevOps methodologies.

  • Experience with code quality tools (SonarQube, BitBucket, DOORS) and test automation frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience in data analytics and data visualization using EasyBI, Tableau, PowerBI.

  • Expertise in applying Quality tools such as DFMEA and Six Sigma methodologies to software improvement initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, software architecture best practices, and automated testing strategies.

  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to drive quality across engineering teams.
