Founded in 2009, we are a premier supplier of shipping software for e-commerce sites, selling to both SMB and Enterprise customers. We have 50+ team members spread across the globe with 30+ members based in Austin, Texas. We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong collaborative mindset.

What You’ll Do:

As a Software QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our product before being released to the market. You will work closely with our development and product teams to identify, document, and report defects, as well as provide valuable insights to enhance the user experience. You will also contribute to our growing Playwright test suite, helping to ensure we limit the number of escaped bugs that make it into production, and speeding up our time to delivery.

Your Impact:

  • Plan and execute manual test cases to identify defects and verify software functionalities.
  • Contribute to adding automated tests to our current Playwright test automation suite
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
  • Document and track defects, ensuring clear and accurate descriptions.
  • Participate in test case creation, test plan development, and test strategy discussions.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive feedback to the development team.
  • Work closely with automation testers to identify suitable test cases for automation.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Work in Gitlab to ensure test builds are deployed appropriately in our cloud test environments

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: ISTQB certification or similar testing certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in QA. Proficient in creating, executing and analyzing test automation frameworks like Playwright, with the capability to write moderately complex SQL queries using MySQL or a similar relational database.
  • Tech: Experienced with container frameworks like Docker and Unix/Linux shell, proficient in distributed version control systems such as Git, and possesses a strong understanding of CI/CD platforms like GitLab or Bitbucket.
  • Personality Traits: You’re analytical and a problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring product quality. Through strong communication, you help foster a collaborative environment.
  • Attitude: You're adept at navigating ambiguity and excelling in dynamic, rapidly growing organizations. You embrace challenges with a positive mindset and are proactive in solutions.

We are an agile, fast-moving team that likes to roll up our sleeves and solve some of the biggest issues in shipping. You will learn more at ShipperHQ in a year than you would in 3 years at other companies because of our collaborative learning culture that fosters continuous growth and innovation.

Benefits and Perks:

  • Work with a collaborative and motivated team with the ability to tie results in the organization directly to your actions.
  • 22 Days Annual Leave

Logistics:
