Software Engineer

Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Build software and data engineering expertise and own data quality for our processes. Drive technical excellence and implementation of software engineering best practices. Design and deliver large scale, highly available and mission-critical data pipelines and features using modern cloud and big data architectures. Develop and deliver batch, stream, and big data solutions using technologies such as Kafka, EMR, Kinesis, Storm, Spark, Hadoop, Redshift, Snowflake, etc. Oversee end-to-end agile design, scoping, implementation, and testing of solution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Building and administering large-scale distributed applications using a cloud platform including AWS; Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS and feature delivery of complex systems; Amazon AWS services including Redshift, SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS; Experience in SQL; Big Data technologies including Hadoop and Spark; working in large- scale data environments including batch processing requirements; Experience with at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, or C#.

Full-Time. Salary: $187,200 - $215,000 per year.
