At CircleCI, we enable developers to do better work every day. We focus solely on helping our customers ship quality code, faster. Our organization is growing to meet the demands of our customers, and we need an experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our adventure in the Sources of Change!

In our team we strive to optimally add new triggers to empower our customers to automatically validate change from their systems.

As a team member, you’ll own crucial microservices and build features at the heart of our platform. You’ll also collaborate daily with empathetic, passionate, and creative colleagues all across the globe.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build new features, simplify existing services and scale our systems as we rapidly grow and evolve.
  • Write sustainable, testable, high-quality, high-performance code.
  • Support, maintain, and debug microservices in a complex distributed system.
  • Foster a culture of observability and monitoring: use operational data to help your team increase the stability, performance, and usage of our systems.
  • Partner with members of a multi-functional team and other collaborators to set the direction of our product: learn about our business problems, explore solutions, weigh design tradeoffs, write effective user stories, an prioritize them to deliver maximum value in a balanced, incremental fashion.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience building and debugging distributed systems in production environments.
  • You are a Full Stack Engineer with an emphasis on frontend development while maintaining a robust backend expertise. You bring enthusiasm to all aspects, from enhancing UX to crafting API designs with meticulous attention and respect. We value versatility over specialization, making T-shaped ideal for these roles.
  • You’re interested in learning new languages and technologies. We use JavaScript/TypeScript/React, Go and Clojure, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ, but it’s okay if you haven’t yet. You can find more details on our tech stack here.
  • You've developed skills in navigating and crafting the dynamics of a rapidly growing company with a remote-first culture: quickly adapting when priorities change and making conscious tradeoffs with incomplete information.

We’re Particularly Interested In These Work Styles

  • Work transparently and collaboratively within a distributed team.
  • Favor regular, incremental delivery over perfection.
  • Strive for continuous learning and improvement for themselves and their teams.

We Look Forward to Hearing from You

We encourage you to apply even if your experience and skill set do not exactly match the role’s requirements. Our team highly values a growth mindset–if you’re open and willing to learn then we’d love to work with you!
