Software Engineer

Your key task will be to build a tool for the internal fund-of-fund vehicle which includes the firm’s deferred compensation plans. The tool encompasses order management, data management and reporting, requiring connectivity to internal and external systems. You will be designing the architecture and functionality of the system. You will be a highly motivated individual with expert communication skills, who has experience with interfacing directly with the business to bring solutions that utilise your knowledge and expertise in building both small- and large-scale applications and driving automation.

Your future role within QRT includes:

• Design and build an order management system to manage monthly dealing within the internal fund of fund vehicle, and annual deferred share plan management
• Data management to merge external and QRT data sources
• Design and build reporting functionality to include investor position, capital activity, upcoming vesting schedules and cash flows
• Creating connectivity and integration with other internal processes and data sources
• Making integral decisions, such as design framework, whilst working with the risk development team to ensure consistency with the firm’s IT framework

Your present skillset:

• More than 5 years development experience in writing high-quality, testable code
• Solid experience with Python
• Understanding of SQL and working with databases (reading / writing data)
• Experience with data visualisation (Tableau, Power BI, Dash or similar) and working with large data sets.
• Ability to lead projects and hit the ground running with tasks
• Experienced in designing frameworks and tools from scratch and advising leaders and teams on associated impact
• Data-orientated individual who can work through large, detailed and time-consuming work
• Understanding of modern software architecture and cloud platforms
