Job Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with focus on Frontend and backend.

The Data Governance team develops and operates platform products through which autonomous teams can self-serve data governance.

This team is focused on building an automated governance platform (i.e. software development). The team is building new products and providing an excellent green/brown field opportunity to build core software engineering components while collaborating with many stakeholders.

We’re looking for people who can step back and think holistically about the ecosystem, but also follow through and help implement the design, drawing on the resources across the rest of the platform tribe.

As we grow, we need to sustain this growth by continuously iterating on the services we run, with a focus on availability, security, and ease of use. We’re looking for an engineer with relevant experience who can analyse complex requirements and deliver simple solutions to help our teams achieve our mission with speed and confidence. 

What will you be working on?

You will be at the forefront of creating an innovative central system that will revolutionize how our team interacts with data. Your work will encompass various aspects such as managing data systems, facilitating access requests, enhancing data discovery, and ensuring data classification, contract, provisioning, and deletion.

This system will become the go-to resource for engineers, analysts, data scientists, platform experts, external auditors, regulators, and top executives including the CISO, DPO, CTO, CPO, and CEO. Your contributions will shape the most impactful homepage, driving our organisation's data journey forward.

Qualifications

We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!

  • Good understanding of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and any relevant browser technologies

  • Good experience in back-end development, REST APIs, databases technologies. 

  • Experience with UI libraries such as React, SSR frameworks (such as Next.js), TypeScript and NodeJs

  • Experience with data technologies like postgres, mysql, analytics databases like snowflake, messaging system like kafka will be good.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-engineers

  • Ability to both collaborate effectively with your team and solve problems independently and proactively

  • Experience in coming up with MockUps / Wireframe / Prototyping tools.

  • Experience with product mindset or lean methodologies with delivering value
