About the Role
At BJSS, we develop software like you’re supposed to – we use current tech, iterate rapidly and integrate securely – it’s what we do best. Whether it’s an app for health improvement and monitoring, an ultra-low latency trading platform or software we all might be using in the future, such as heartbeat authentication. We deliver products that work, follow good practices and pass all performance and functional tests.

About You
We’re not just looking for a Developer. We’re looking for a multi-faceted technologist who has strong experience developing applications for complex problems within an enterprise environment.
We’re currently looking for creative and talented people who enjoy being challenged, to join our diverse team of engineers. Most of our assignments enable you to work directly with our clients. This could be on client site or within a BJSS office.
With C# being your core language, you will have a good understanding of the wider dotnet ecosystem and have probably used or experimented with dotnet core. Along with this you’ll have:
- Exposure to other languages such as Java, Python, and/or other exciting technologies.
- Experience developing front-end solutions and therefore of JavaScript frameworks would be super advantageous.
- Object Orientated skills are essential, as well as knowledge of software good practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD), Domain-Driven Development (DDD), Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).
- Familiarity with a few databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL , MySQL, NoSQL and/or similar databases is key.
- Experience with container, serverless and other cloud technologies is a bonus.
In addition to all this, we are looking for candidates who will be happy to engage with our clients, work in collaborative environments and get involved in our recruitment processes and/or external events/forums. Therefore strong communication skills are essential.
