The Social Media Manager is an individual contributor role and an important part of our growing organic marketing efforts. In this new role, the Social Media Manager will create and execute compelling social media content that promotes the Cerity Partners brand and offerings across platforms.
The role will contribute to expanding our social media capabilities by thoughtful social media engagement, identifying and adapting to key trends, interpreting data, and proactively recommending content and social platform opportunities. The ideal candidate has a passion for all aspects of social media marketing; they are creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services, marketing and media environment.
 

Responsibilities

  • Fully own and oversee all social media channels for the firm, including B2C and B2B audience publishing.
  • Serve as a social media evangelist and expert, offering ongoing training sessions to turn colleagues into brand ambassadors.
  • Work across the Marketing team to develop social media campaigns that speak to our target personas.
  • Interface with other internal colleagues to generate social media campaigns and ideas.
  • Draft, copyedit, and coordinate approval for all social media activity.
  • Support launches, announcements, mergers, events, and other key moments with social and digital components.
  • Partner with agencies to develop content, including LinkedIn posts, YouTube assets, and paid media campaigns.
  • Support community management, including monitoring comments and conversations.
  • Track and report on social media performance; assess what’s working and provide recommendations.
  • Manage social listening tools and vendors.
  • Identify social media trends and proactively recommend new channels and formats.  
  • Support social media operations, including asset management, documentation, scheduling, and optimization.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 + years of hands-on experience in a dedicated social media role
  • Experience in financial services, professional services, or creative agencies
  • Demonstrated experience publishing and managing content across major social platforms, specifically LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Ability to interpret social media metrics and translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience working with agencies and collaborating across internal teams
  • Proficiency with standard workplace tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Compensation:

$95,000 - $115,000
