Role overview   

 

We’re looking for an Organic Social Specialist to join the Brand and Marketing team here at Hastings Direct for a 12 month FTC, to develop and execute a social media strategy that will drive brand awareness, consideration and customer engagement. Social as a key channel we want to grow over the next 12 months, and see it as a lever to help inspire, educate and entertain the next generation, as well as existing generations, of insurance customers. 

We’re embarking on a 12-month test and learn plan in collaboration with an external agency, looking to prove the value of organic social and have some fun while we are doing it. If you have experience developing social media strategies that drive brand consideration and awareness, we’d love to speak to you. Although the role is only FTC to start with, if we are able to grow the channel and prove its worth, this is likely to turn into a full time opportunity.  

 

Job details:

  • The day to day responsibilities of the role will include but wont be limited to:
  • Develop social media plans, campaigns, activations and tactics to drive brand and product awareness and consideration, as well as customer engagement.  
  • Work with a broad range of social tools to deliver campaigns and analyse their impact – from listening to content-planning 
  • Work with team members to brief and oversee the production of social assets with the external production teams 
  • Collaborate with creative, product and internal teams to drive brand stories 
  • Develop ways to engage our community to drive awareness, conversation and affinity to Hastings Direct 

  

  

Essential skills / Experience 

  • Significant experience in social media management, with evidence of growing and developing social media channels from the ground up.
  • Exceptional Data storyteller with strong presentation skills
  • A creative thinker who can come up with original ideas to elevate Hastings direct digitally.
  • A natural communicator – confident in presenting social campaigns and activities to different parts of the business and managing key stakeholders 
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and well versed in working cross functionally 
  • Financial services experience is preferred but not essential
