Someone who can not only deliver day to day on video production and writing but also shape and implement a strategy. This is a ground up role that blends execution and strategy and provides the chance to build a scalable social media model that can grow and make a huge impact globally.

If you’re a passionate data storyteller with a keen understanding of social trends and the ability to oversee video production   this is a chance to combine strategy and creativity and shape a leading global brands presence.

This is a hybrid role, so individuals must be able to commute to the London office at least 3 days a week.

Regrettably, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship, so you must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

What will I be doing day-to-day?

Strategy & execution

  • Develop and execute YouGov’s social media strategy across all channels and audiences
  • Drive the growth of YouGov’s social channels, increasing brand awareness, trust, consideration, and engagement
  • Collaborate closely with marketing teams to align messaging and produce social assets that effectively engage our audiences
  • Own and manage the social team’s budget in addition to building and maintaining a network of freelancers
  • Lead on both organic and paid social strategy, ensuring an integrated approach across channels.

Team Management, Content creation & production

  • Create, write, and publish compelling, data-driven social content, emphasizing video formats
  • Build and nurture a network of internal personalities who can create and be the face of engaging social content series
  • Manage and develop two social media team members, who are currently focused primarily on paid social, providing guidance and support to broaden their expertise.

Community & analytics

  • Actively manage community engagement, ensuring responsive, credible interactions across all social platforms
  • Lead social analytics, measure content effectiveness, and refine approaches based on insights and audience feedback
  • Identify and leverage social media trends while consistently reinforcing YouGov’s brand

These are the essentials you need to get an interview:

  • 5 years experience working on social media channels for a high growth B2B brand
  • 2 years of experience managing and scaling a social media function
  • Exceptional copywriting, editing, and content creation skills, with experience translating complex data into clear and engaging stories
  • Creative multimedia content production skills (video & audio)
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and execute end-to-end content processes, from concept through to publication and performance analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using social media analytics and insights platforms
  • Experience of working with the US market

Behavioural competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across international teams and levels.
  • A mentorship mindset with the ability to encourage and foster personalities who might feature on our social channels.
  • Confidence to engage and work with senior leaders.

It would be great if you had experience in the below, but we’ll support you if you don’t:

  • Previous experience data driven organizations
  • Familiarity with social listening and advanced analytics tools
  • Experience taking a brand on a social journey and building a team from the ground up
  • Experience of working with global markets
