About the role 

 
We are looking for an experienced Social Media Director, to work across different accounts to support the content production and scheduling, as well as advising on channel best practices. You will work with the project teams and local Social Media teams to consult on the strategies and with the Head of Content to scope and define the Social Media offering within the business, as well as adapt it as required to continually meet best practice. 

 

The role will be dedicated to continually uphold the brand guidelines of our client partners and find new ways to improve performance, as well as provide ongoing insights through social listening to help inform content creation planning and execution. This includes using these insights to help shape non-social content planning, such as editorial and creative. We work with a variety of clients across the Beauty, Food & Beverage, Health & Wellness, and Pharma industries, so a mix of experience is desirable. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Work closely with the broader EMEA teams on a day-to-day basis for strategy, planning, production, and reporting.  
  • Oversee all social media account activity to ensure smooth delivery and content excellence is maintained 
  • Review & maintain processes regarding social media work on a regular basis. 
  • Lead on social media insights gathering to inform the direction of our content creation formats & internal service offering.  
  • Work with GP creative and production teams to brief assets and adjustments whenever necessary. 
  • Review all monthly social calendars, schedule and deliver content for the month. 
  • Be aware of and create reactive and seasonal content needs for our clients. 
  • Help with creative ideas around improving our social presence and be responsible for keeping on top of social media developments and trends in market. 
  • Set up and manage local retailer/influencer/brand partnerships and competitions on social platforms. 
  • Foster retailer/brand relationships (existing and new) to help build organic growth. 
  • Produce monthly reports on the social performance, gathering and reporting insights on successes and weaknesses.  
  • Participate in and lead the pitching of our social media offering to new clients.  
  • Participate in ideation sessions for content creation, where required 
  • Interview
    for senior social media resources for our teams. 
     
  • Set and monitoring best practices across our accounts. 
  • Primary Channels to have experience in include: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn. 

 

About you 

 

  • Minimum 5+ years in social strategy with a broad understanding of consumer habits, channels and touchpoints. 
  • Experience in food and drink is preferred, and the candidate will ideally have experience across a number of categories and industries, including lifestyle, health and wellness, beauty and consumer goods 
  • A deep understanding of channel purpose, appropriate content formats and best practices to meet audience and channel needs.  
  • Comfortable conducting consumer research (whether desk research, or through insights tools) 
  • A sound understanding of social platforms and their role in publishing. 
  • A sound understanding of social reporting and analytics and how to interpret data to lead strategies. 
  • Experience in both organic and paid media and the ability to align paid and organic strategies across social and web. 
  • Experience concepting and creating social content. 
  • Experience creating user journeys informed by consumer and SEO insights. Experience in connecting social projects to web and working holistically across digital platforms. 
  • Experience in influencer analysis, recruitment and management. 
  • Experience in working with other agencies to deliver holistic social strategies.
