Site Operative

Salary: £12.71 per hour (£29,741.40) plus weekend overtime available

Hours: 45 hours per week 

Location: The Woodlands Centre, IVC, Whitesmith, BN8 6JD

We process kitchen and green garden waste at this site. This is waste arriving from all our Household Waste Recycling Sites in the area. This modern facility is capable of processing up to 60,000 tonnes of biodegradable waste.

What you'll be doing;

• Assist in traffic management around the site and in the weighbridge area

• Operate the weighbridge when required

• Assist with greasing screening line in the mornings

• Assist with cleaning the shredding/screening equipment down at the end of the day

• General housekeeping on the site with regular litter picking

• Pressure washing and help keep areas washed down

• You will be trained in ABPR & Pas100 regulations

• You will be trained in the Facility Operations and assist the Manager and Supervisor where required

• You will learn how the SCADA works and trained in its use

What we're looking for;

• Similar operational manual handling experience

• Good working knowledge of Health and Safety

• A full driving licence is essential to be able to get to this remote site 

• Knowledge of recycling organic waste material is desirable
