The Site Manager has full accountability in managing the depot resource to include both drivers and vehicles to ensure that volume is delivered in line with budget. All Health and Safety KPI’s are achieved in line with business policy and procedure and legal compliance is maintained within our Operators License.

Salary Range: 40,000 plus bonus opportunity and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • The Site Manager is to ensure the highest standards of on site housekeeping is maintained at all times, the depot always has sufficient consumable products on site for the team to utilise.
  • Ownership and execution of the daily plan driving to close the PvA gap on delivered drops to optimal levels.
  • Completion of on site depot inspections within business expectation, reporting issues in real time and escalating any safety concerns or operational challenges in real time to Area Manager.
  • Responsible and proactive in relation to all on site security matters
  • Lead on timely, engaging and clear delivery of HSE briefing meetings including administration.
  • Drive a culture of safety first within operational depot and be a champion of HSSEQ in all environments
  • Provide data led feedback to dispatch and operations support in relation to customer delivery points, road networks in order to drive continuous improvement in support of the planned optimiser
  • Collaborate and communicate swiftly and clearly to sales and dispatch colleagues regarding in day challenges
  • Full ownership of Sirus for the depots within responsibility; including site safety and near miss cradle to grave (input to resolution), including delivery of targets for number completed. Additionally, the end-to-end incident investigation management and as part of the process identifying root causes and remedial measure to support improvements.
  • Ensure driver compliance to WTD & EU driver regulation through effective management of driver hours utilising tachomaster as the supporting tool Maintenance of site HSSEQ KPIs
  • Maintenance of site meter readings each month
  • Ensure full compliance to driver tablet adoption processes to support inventory and customers and accountable for depot stock management.
  • Lead and provide operational support to sales with any customer service related issues
  • Deliver lead in / lead out within expected targets set by ops leadership
  • Maintain DCD procedure documents ensuring any changes are communicated to supply & third party logistics in timely fashion
  • Maintain depot risk assessments
  • Delivery of HSE scorecard metrics
  • Accountable for depot P&L
  • Responsibility for the driver’s capacity planner and planned resource numbers.
  • Managing all in-day, dropped loads ensuring timely re-planning and delivery.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Drivers
  • Hold driver 121 meetings to discuss performance
  • Planning and approving driver holidays in line with the budget requirement

Desirable Qualifications

  • LGV C or C+E category license.
  • ADR License
  • Transport Management CPC

Work Experience Required

  • The ideal candidate would have previous experience as a transport manager/supervisor role.
  • Fuel industry experience.
  • Understanding of planning.
  • People management.
