Job Description
VVB Engineering provide Mechanical and Electrical Installation services across a variety of industries. An opportunity has risen for a SHE Advisor to join our Safety, Health and Environmental team, responsible for the providing a high standard of support and advice across both office and site locations. This position is based from our Rainham office but will require you to travel to site locations when needed.
The position:
- Ensure compliance with all legislation is maintained
- Work with the SHE team to review and deliver continuous improvement projects
- Provide support and advice to both office and site locations on SHE queries
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are correctly reported and support is provided to investigations
- Conduct site safety inspections and audits
- Conduct regular reviews on corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections and audits
- Support internal and external audit programmes
What we’re looking for:
- Knowledge of SHE legislation within the Construction, M&E, Tunnelling and/or Power and Utilities industry
- Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO’s 9001/14001
- NEBOSH diploma, or equivalent
- Member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
- CSCS card
- Innovative approach and solution driven
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the business
- Ability to produce plans and reports
