As SEO Lead, you will enhance organic search for Popsa by implementing AEO and GEO strategies, ensuring discoverability and collaboration across teams for technical and content-related excellence.
Who we are
Joining Popsa right now is an exceptional opportunity. We’re building the world’s most intuitive platform for memories — one that treats your photos not just as images, but as the soundtrack to your life.
In 2025, we’re on track to achieve over $50 million in revenue, growing at around 28% year‑on‑year. Our native iOS and Android apps are available in 12 languages, with more than 10 million users to date, and we ship to over 50 countries worldwide.
We launched our new website in 12 markets in April 2025 and our online magazine, Perspectives, in July of the same year. In 2026 we are planning to supercharge our growth across more markets, by scaling both our content strategy and digital PR. We also see the recent advancements in AI as an opportunity to increase Popsa’s digital footprint across non-Google platforms.
While we’re best known for photobooks today, our ambition goes far beyond print. Popsa is building a new generation of services that combine artificial intelligence and thoughtful design to help people meaningfully reflect on, organise, and bring their memories to life.
The mission for the role
As SEO Lead, your mission is to make organic search a durable, defensible, and future‑proof growth channel for Popsa.
This is not a traditional SEO role. You’ll be responsible for evolving our organic strategy beyond classic search into Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), ensuring Popsa is discoverable wherever and however people search, including AI‑powered experiences.
You’ll own technical SEO best practice, feed and Merchant Center performance, and digital PR, while partnering closely with Content, Brand, Product, and Engineering to shape bottom‑of‑funnel content for Perspectives, Popsa’s online magazine.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who blends strategic thinking with executional depth and is excited by the pace and ambiguity of a scaling consumer tech business.
What success looks like in your first 6 months
- Technical foundations: Our technical SEO setup is robust, scalable, and aligned with best practice across all markets.
- Future‑ready search: You’ve defined and begun executing a clear AEO / GEO strategy, ensuring Popsa content performs across AI‑driven search experiences.
- Commercial impact: Feed and Merchant Center performance is materially improved, supporting stronger product visibility and revenue contribution from organic shopping surfaces.
- Content integration: SEO is deeply embedded into Perspectives, shaping high‑intent, bottom‑of‑funnel content that supports both brand and conversion.
- Authority building: A clear digital PR and link‑building strategy is live, improving Popsa’s authority through high‑quality, relevant coverage.
- Cross‑functional trust: You’ve built strong working relationships with Engineering, Content, PR, Brand and Growth, positioning SEO as a strategic partner rather than a service function.
Your Responsibilities
- Own Popsa’s technical SEO roadmap, ensuring best practice across crawlability, indexation, site performance, internationalisation, and structured data.
- Partner closely with Engineering to scope, prioritise, and implement SEO‑related improvements.
- Continuously audit and evolve our technical setup to support scale and new product launches.
- Define and execute Popsa’s approach to Answer Engine Optimisation and Generative Engine Optimisation.

- Ensure content strategy balances performance, brand voice, and long‑term authority building.
- Provide clear guidance on briefs, formats, and optimisation best practice.
- Define and execute a best‑in‑class digital PR and link‑building strategy.
- Secure high‑quality, relevant coverage that strengthens Popsa’s authority and organic performance.
- Collaborate with PR, Content, and external partners where appropriate.
- Define success metrics for SEO, AEO, and organic discovery more broadly.
- Regularly share performance, insights, and opportunities with senior stakeholders.
- Evangelise modern SEO thinking across the business.
