About the role

As an SEO Intern, your primary focus will be on building a robust network of backlinks to enhance the visibility and authority of our curriculum, as well as contributing to SEO analyses to understand our performance relative to competitors. You’ll have the chance to lead impactful projects, develop new systems, and upskill in SEO techniques. You will report to the SEO lead, who will provide guidance and help you upskill.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a backlink strategy to drive mentions of DataCamp on relevant websites to ultimately improve search performance.
  • Identify and collaborate with relevant websites, blogs, and influencers to acquire high-quality backlinks.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on backlink performance.
  • Implement SEO best practices to optimize course content.
  • Analyse SEO performance using tools such as Heap, Google Search Console and ahrefs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in SEO and backlink building.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed education in STEM.
  • Interest in SEO, search, and how websites work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to work and learn independently.
  • Strong technical as well as analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of online communities where technical discussions occur, such as Stack Overflow, Reddit, and relevant blogs.
  • Possibly, experience in web scraping.
