Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution? Then bring your skills in credit, problem solving and communication to Citi’s Services team.

By Joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Team/Role Overview:

The Services Credit Consumption team provides horizontal ownership and governance across five product verticals — Trade & Working Capital Solutions (TWCS / Trade), Payments, Liquidity Management Services (LMS), Investor Services, and Issuer Services — ensuring that credit is consumed (booked / utilised) correctly, governed rigorously, and reported accurately across Citi Services.

As Credit Product Lead, you will serve as the accountable owner for provision of the credit utility -predominantly intraday- for product offerings under Payments, Investor Services, and Issuer Services. This is a high-visibility, hands-on delivery role, requiring close collaboration with Product Management Teams, Technology, Operations, Risk Management and Senior Leadership to ensure that credit across covered products is governed, processed, and reported — alongside strategic planning to formalise governance frameworks and design the future-state credit consumption model.

What you’ll do:

Ownership & Governance:

  • Serve as end-to-end owner of credit utility for credit-consuming Services products under respective product pillars.
  • Establish, own, and evolve the products' consumption constructs — systems rules, processes, and procedures — that govern processing and allocation of credit for each covered product, ensuring each products' design is fit for purpose and appropriately governed.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of enterprise governance (e.g. New Activity Committee (NAC) submission(s), Enterprise Product Taxonomy  (EPT) formalisations, Data Modelling) from scoping and socialisation to documentation, and final sign-off.
  • Own and oversee the intraday excess approval process for all covered Services products,
  • Serve as the main point of contact for architecture discussions for Intraday Credit coordinating requirements across Payments, Issuer Services, and Investor Services to build the next level, common, reusable platform capability.

Book of Work & Delivery:

  • Oversee and drive the credit consumption book of work for respective product pillars, maintaining a prioritised roadmap aligned to organisational objectives and strategic priorities, across respective products, in close coordination with the Credit Consumption Execution Head.
  • Plan, lead, and conclude cross-functional design workshops with Product verticals, Technology, Operations, and Risk partners, converting outcomes into actionable design artefacts and implementation plans.
  • Develop and maintain detailed programme plans, business cases, investment proposals, and status reporting for senior leadership and through governing committees.
  • Drive technical and commercial discussions with product and technology counterparts, framing complex credit mechanics in a manner that drives sound design decisions and governance outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a strong risk and compliance focus by ensuring timely mitigation of issues to avoid client and operational impacts.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Significant progressive experience in financial services product management or product ownership, ideally within payments, clearing, custody, or intraday liquidity or credit operations enabling these flows.
  • Deep understanding of credit mechanics, payment flows, and the credit risk implications of product offerings under the covered product pillars.
  • Demonstrated experience in navigating enterprise governance or equivalent new product and policy approval frameworks in a regulated financial institution.
  • Solid grounding in risk and control frameworks and operational risk, with experience proactively managing risk across complex, multi-region product environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex credit, technical, and governance concepts to senior internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across highly matrixed global organisations, diverse cultures, and competing business priorities.
  • Proven track record of conceptualising a business vision and successfully executing large-scale product or governance transformations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and as part of a dynamic global team, handling challenging situations with composure and making clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
