Collaboration and consulting
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative design activities with clients and delivery teams
- Work closely with engineers and architects to ensure designs are feasible within technical and organisational constraints
- Communicate design decisions clearly and support teams in making evidence-based product decisions
- Contribute to a shared understanding of user needs across teams and stakeholders
Contributing to design practice
- Advocate for user-centred and evidence-based design approaches within delivery teams
- Contribute to design standards, design systems and shared design practices
- Support and mentor more junior designers where appropriate
- Share knowledge and learnings within the wider UCD team
Skills and Experience
We are looking for designers who combine strong interaction design capability with the ability to work effectively in complex delivery environments. You may have gained your experience in consulting, product teams or large digital transformation programmes.
Essential

- Experience creating user journeys, wireframes and prototypes
- Experience designing and iterating solutions based on user feedback and usability testing
- Strong collaboration skills when working with engineers, product managers and researchers
