Job Description

JOB TITLE: Senior UX Designer (12-Month FTC)
SALARY: £90,440 - £106,400
LOCATION: London or Bristol
HOURS: Full-Time
DURATION: 12-Months Fixed-Term Contract

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.
About this opportunity
We’re looking for someone to lead and work as part of a design team supporting a core product area within Experience Design. You'll provide guidance to stakeholders, development teams and other Interaction Designers, working alongside and leading a design team. You'll take full ownership of their output, providing rationale for design decisions and confidently present their work back to stakeholders.

As a Senior UX Designer, it’ll be your role to:

  • Shape and implement experience strategy for the product area

  • Having a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points and expectations

  • Understand goals and challenges in the context of business and engineering priorities

  • Work with service designers to influence and develop the roadmap and overall product strategy

  • Engage with leadership to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes

  • Provide leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary designers to support decision-making, delivery and team culture

  • Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through the formal development and mentoring of team members

What you'll need

  • Extensive and demonstrable experience within User Experience design/Interaction Design

  • Experience leading teams

  • Strong stakeholder negation skills

  • A strong strategic vision that aligns well to the overall business strategy
