We’re looking for an energetic and inquisitive Senior User Researcher to join our team! You'll dive deep into the needs, behaviours, and motivations of our users, turning insights into action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research planning (15%): Collaborate with product and business teams to define research objectives. Plan research sprints end to end from method selection, setting the goals and recruiting relevant users.
  • Conducting research (40%): Lead in-depth user interviews, usability testing, and surveys to explore how customers interact with our product in real-world scenarios. Go beyond surface level observations to uncover friction points, unmet needs, and moments of delight. Explore the full user journey through real world tasks and scenarios to uncover how the product supports users’ goals, integrates into their workflows, and fits within their daily context.
  • Analysis and synthesis (30%): Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to uncover patterns, insights, and pain points. Translate findings into actionable recommendations for design and development teams. Utilise relevant tooling such as Confluence and Dovetail to document.
  • Present insights (15%): Present insights and recommendations clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders of all levels. Create impactful reports, visuals, or presentations to share findings.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Actively drawn on industry best practices and emerging trends in user research and product development, applying them to elevate the quality and impact of your work.
  • Developed and implemented structured research processes including, but not limited to user interviews and surveys ensuring efficient data collection and analysis.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of product, the target audience and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborated with technical stakeholders to understand system limitations and ensure research plans align with current capabilities and future opportunities.
  • Established effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, building a culture of open communication, aligning on research goals.
  • Demonstrated a tangible impact on product outcomes and roadmap, identify key user needs, pain points and opportunities for innovation using evidence backed recommendations.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to gather, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey research findings and technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • At least 4 years experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, covering both evaluative and generative research.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, Amplitude, or similar platforms.
  • Attention to detail in capturing and interpreting customer feedback without bias.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and adaptability, as well as a self starter happy to work independently.
  • Organisational skills for planning, conducting and documenting research.
  • Comfortable influencing without control, multi-directionally across a broad range of topics.
