Senior UI Developer

We are seeking a skilled Senior UI Developer with a solid understanding of JavaScript and React to join our dynamic team in the LCH Digital platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of building micro frontends using webpack. Your main responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable React frontends deployed into AWS.

ROLE SUMMARY:

• Design, develop, package and support scalable, reliable, and secure React micro frontends in our AWS infrastructure
• Lead UI delivery for all new requirements for over 20 existing micro frontend apps.
• Engage with the wider UI community at LSEG and ensure we are meeting and contributing to group UX standards.
• Liaise closely with Business, Infrastructure, Support, Testing and Operational teams to ensure the delivered functionality meets all requirements
• Work with the team to identify areas of improvement and contribute to improve ways of working
• Take ownership of deliveries from requirement gathering through to production.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Develop new React front ends and improve existing services.
• Investigate new technologies and design solutions.
• Build & prioritise a technical backlog of continual improvement with the rest of the team.
• Drive CI/CD best practice for the UI
• Ensure code is well tested and supportable.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Deep Understanding of Frontend Architectures for Single Page Applications including micro frontends.
• Very strong JavaScript/TypeScript and functional programming experience
• Experience with frameworks such as ReactJS, Yup, React hook forms, Zustand etc.
• Test/Automated testing knowledge with Jest and Playwright.
• Knowledge of web security and OAUTH2 authentication.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Superb communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proactive attitude and a passion for learning new technologies.
