This role focuses on our Treasury Management System (TMS), related platforms and interconnectivity with finance and investment systems, ensuring a systems environment that is robust, efficient, and aligned with best practice.
Reporting to the Treasury Transformation Lead and working closely with the Senior Treasury Systems Analyst and Finance Operations team, you’ll play a key role in implementing our new treasury landscape.
The Senior Treasury Analyst’s key deliverables will be to successfully transition existing cash management and banking admin operations from the current service provider to the business’s new in-house treasury function, and support building out the target operating model. The role will also be directly involved in supporting refinancing credit facilities.
The role focuses on operational resilience, alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across the current service provider, Treasury Systems, Finance, Investments, Risk, Compliance, and external banking partners.
The Senior Treasury Analyst will play a key role in enabling a seamless transition with minimal disruption to the business-as-usual activities by providing clarity, traceability and insight into treasury operations and analytical support for refinancing.
What you’ll spend your time doing:
As Senior Treasury Analyst (Front Office), you will have primary responsibility for end-to-end cash management, ensuring the organisation maintains optimal liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic objectives. You will combine hands-on ownership with analytical insight, playing a central role in understanding, tracking and forecasting cashflow.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury Operating Model Analysis, Design, Implementation & Improvement
Transition
Work with existing supplier to transition treasury operations. Support validation and sign-off of treasury operational handovers and acceptance criteria from service provider.
Design, implement and enhance end-to-end treasury processes including liquidity, forecasting and payment workflows, from pre-transition to future state. Produce clear documentation for same.
Design, implement and enhance treasury reporting activities
Working closely with Treasury & Finance Systems, design end-to-end testing activities for system changes and integrations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Cash Management Ownership
Take full ownership of cash management, including daily positioning, visibility, pooling, and optimisation of cash balances across the organisation.
Liquidity Planning & Control
Manage short- and medium-term liquidity, ensuring sufficient funding headroom while supporting efficient use of cash in line with business strategy.
Cashflow Forecasting & Analysis
Lead cashflow forecasting processes, analyse underlying drivers of cash movement, and provide actionable insights to senior finance and treasury stakeholders.
Currency Management & FX Execution
Manage FX exposures arising from cashflows.
Process Improvement & Treasury Excellence
Identify opportunities to enhance cash management processes, improve controls and reporting, and embed best-practice treasury disciplines across the organisation.
Strategic & Change Initiatives
Lead and contribute to treasury projects focused on improving cash visibility, automation, forecasting accuracy, and overall liquidity management capability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Support
Act as the primary treasury contact for cash-related matters, building trusted relationships with peers and senior stakeholders, and influencing decisions that impact cash and liquidity.
Risk, Compliance & Assurance Analysis
Identify and assess risks relating to operational continuity, data integrity, and regulatory obligations.
Work with Risk & Compliance teams to ensure proposed processes and controls satisfy internal and external regulatory standards.
Support audit activities by providing documentation, evidence trails, and process transparency.
Embed operational resilience and control considerations into requirement and process design.
What you’ll need:
For this particular role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to have. These include:
Essential
Strong experience in cash-focused front-office treasury roles within insurance, financial services, or a complex corporate environment
Deep understanding of cash management, liquidity, and cashflow forecasting, with exposure to FX activities, investments (money market funds) and credit facilities
Experience with credit facilities including modelling structures, scenarios, pricing
Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and translate it into tactical insight and contribute to strategic considerations
Confident communicator, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders on cash and liquidity matters
Proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially minded
Demonstrated ability to design and implement treasury processes end-to-end. Must produce high-quality documentation including systems overviews, process maps and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with attention to detail.
Experience working with cross-functional teams including Systems, Finance, Risk and Compliance.
Desirable
Experience in a new or rapidly transforming treasury function.
Experience within a Lloyd’s syndicate or broader (re)insurance environment desirable but not essential
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s Minimum Standards).
Relevant undergraduate degree, Treasury qualification or equivalent preferred.
