  • Independently evaluate alternative viewpoints and determine technical direction for specialist areas and broad projects. Apply sophisticated system thinking to optimize and balance multifaceted product performance, always prioritizing the end user.

  • Set the technical agenda by planning and prioritizing key tasks, thereby ensuring thorough requirements definition and consistent development of product performance throughout the lifecycle.

  • Lead data-driven analysis, ensure rigor in test methodologies, and deliver decisive recommendations and verification reports that facilitate insightful decision-making.

  • Clearly communicate progress and results to all stakeholders, adapting communication style as needed for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to others, supporting team development and process improvement while upholding Dyson’s values of innovation and continuous improvement.

About you
  • Master in Mechanical Engineering (other relevant discipline will be considered)

  • Broad knowledge of applied physics, design engineering, particle science, fluid dynamics and numerical analysis.

  • Have experience on using analytical tools for problem solving and product performance optimization.

  • Competent in the use and application of CAD tools in general.

  • Experience in system engineering processes and able to demonstrate system breakdown analysis.

  • Able to write unambiguous product requirements and test method.

  • Ability to work in a high demand, fast-paced environment, able to manage stakeholder expectation and has critical thinking all times.

  • A clear, logical thinker with attention to detail and an appreciation for engineering fundamentals and critical analysis.

  • Demonstrate strong written & verbal communication skills. Able to clearly, concisely & confidently present & articulate ideas to larger cross-category groups from a variety of areas, often with Management attendees.
