Role Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of both strategic and client-driven software projects in Journey’s portfolio. Working closely with the Product and Software Development leads and teams, you will ensure that project budgets, resources, and tasks are planned, communicated, and executed clearly. You will also contribute to the discipline of project management as we build out our capabilities in this critical area, while contributing to one of Journey’s largest and most important projects to date.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the project management aspects of both client-facing and strategic software development projects, including budgets, resources, and tasks. Own the key project management processes for a project, providing smooth operations and clear communications.
  • Work closely with Product and Software leads (and their teams) to ensure that the overall objectives of the project are achieved.
  • Manage the team resources and tasks, providing a clear plan to both the internal team and to external stakeholders that provides confidence in delivery.
  • Communicate clearly to the internal and external teams on a regular basis, matching the appropriate level of information to the audience. This includes the internal project team, executive Journey leadership, Technology team leadership, and client-facing project teams.
  • Understand the financial constraints and reporting requirements and align the resource and development plan to those needs.
  • Own the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, helping to define how a project operates include agile approaches to software development. Work closely with the software development team to speed delivery and remove roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with other Software Project Managers to advance the discipline of Project Management throughout Journey.

Candidate Specifications
  • 10-15 years of experience with software project management in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working with Agile software methodologies
  • Experience working across large, complex projects with flexible delivery objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels within the client organization
  • Ability to develop clear metrics and qualitative measures of success
  • A collaborative and team player with excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • Recognized project management certification
  • Experience with a range of project management software and platforms
  • Familiarity with 3D digital workflows such as video games, XR, Digital Twins, CG animation, or visual effects.
  • Experience with creative production environments
Salary Pay Range
£75,000£90,000 GBP
