THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead our Data Platform Team, a critical role designed to harness the power of data to fuel our business growth and scalability. As a key player in our organization, you will strategise, develop, and execute data-driven initiatives that streamline our engineering process, enhance our product offerings, and support our business intelligence features. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Product Leadership: Be the product leader of the Data Platform Team. Gather requirements from other product/engineering stakeholders and business owners, write requirements, prioritize relevant product backlogs, maintain product roadmaps, and provide documentation and training as needed. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the Data Platform Team and other business units. Manage competing priorities and align teams to ensure on-time deliveries. Communicate product visions, roadmap, priorities, and progress to stakeholders, including senior leadership. 
  • Strategy Development: Conduct technology and architecture research. Define and execute the data platform strategy to support engineering needs and further scale our business. 
  • Innovation and Scalability: Identify and implement innovative data solutions that enhance product value and user experience. Ensure the data platform scales effectively with the business, supporting growth and operational efficiency. 
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform product strategy and positioning. 
  • Data Governance and Quality: Establish and enforce data governance standards and practices to ensure data integrity, quality, and security. Oversee the management of data assets, including data sourcing, storage, and accessibility. 

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related field, with a strong technical background in data platforms, analytics, or similar.
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven products and solutions that have contributed to business growth and scalability.
  • Deep understanding of data technologies, architectures, and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions, AWS is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with the payment industry and regulatory environments is a plus.
