Job Description

We are growing our consulting team and looking for Senior Technical DM F&O Consultant to join us on our exciting journey and be part of the Hitachi Solutions family.

The main areas of responsibility for a Senior Technical DM F&O Consultant at Hitachi Solutions are:

  • Developing long lasting and high-quality business relationships with clients by instilling trust and confidence
  • Working directly with clients to understand their business processes and determining project deliverables

  • Utilising specialist knowledge of Finance/ Project Accounting/ Distribution & Trade/ HR processes and the Microsoft Dynamics product to support data migration

  • Utilising specialist knowledge of the services, retail, finance, manufacturing or public sector industries
  • Developing original approaches to improve or replace existing processes and procedures

  • Working alongside the Data Migration Capability to facilitate continuous improvement of our processes and tools

  • Supporting data migration cutover activities and hypercare

  • Writing migration specifications

  • Acting as the translation point between functional and technical teams so that migration solutions can be developed
  • Effectively managing scope, meet or exceed project schedule and remain within the approved budget

  • Guiding Project Managers and keeping them informed

  • Involvement in estimation and planning activities

  • Delivering migration training to less experienced consultants

  • Prepare our Managed Services team for the transition to support
  • Sharing knowledge with other  team membershrough whitepapers on relevant project experience or training events.

Qualifications

Essential skills

  • A strong ERP background, with demonstrable experience in using the Microsoft Dynamics product.

  • Demonstrable experience undertaking data migration activities, and with the Data Management Framework. This should include experience of data profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, enrichment, writing migration specification documents, and an understanding of data reconciliation.

  • Demonstrable experience delivering against data migration strategy documents and specifications.

  • Demonstrable experience using SQL Server T-SQL, SSDT (SSIS) is desirable.

  • Understanding of data entities across various modules in Microsoft Dynamics 365 including F&O, SCM, and HR.

  • The ability to work directly with clients to understand their business processes and determine project deliverables.
  • Ensuring compliance with data policies e.g. personal data, retention policies.

  • A logical approach to problem solving and structured approach to introducing change into operational systems.

  • A strong knowledge of methodologies around ERP implementations, and demonstrable experience in these implementations.
  • Strong presentation skills, and written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A familiarity with Azure DevOps, PowerBI, and SharePoint is desirable.
