Job Overview
The Senior Technical Deployment Lead is responsible for driving the end‑to‑end deployment of complex applications and platform components across LSEG’s global trading and analytics environments. Acting as the technical authority for deployment standards, this role leads solution implementation, enhances packaging and delivery processes, and ensures high quality, secure, and reliable deployments across desktop, cloud, and market‑data ecosystems. The role also plays a key part in enabling colleagues and customers by providing expert guidance, training, and best‑practice leadership to support successful adoption of LSEG technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead for end‑to‑end deployment of complex desktop and cloud‑based applications across trading environments.
Enhance and continuously improve deployment processes, automation workflows, packaging standards, and operational best practice frameworks across LSEG.
Lead the packaging, configuration, testing, and rollout of OpenFin applications, including runtime management and environment promotion.
Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to ensure firewall rules, DNS, certificates, proxies, and connectivity paths are aligned with deployment requirements.
Deploy, validate, and support Excel add‑ins and real‑time data integrations across Office environments.
Troubleshoot issues across endpoints, Windows desktop environments, OpenFin runtimes, market data stacks, and network layers.
Deliver training, enablement sessions, and technical guidance to LSEG colleagues and customers, helping them understand deployment tooling, processes, and standards.
Act as a subject‑matter expert to internal teams, providing strategic feedback on tooling, process enhancement, and platform adoption.
Produce detailed deployment documentation including guides, runbooks, validation steps, and solve playbooks.
Support key deployments or customer engagements onsite or internationally when required.
Required Skills
Extensive experience leading enterprise scale technical deployments, ideally within financial services.
Solid grasp of OpenFin or similar desktop container runtimes, including packaging, distribution, and solve.
Solid grasp of market data systems, entitlement workflows, vendor APIs, and desktop distribution.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, proxies, certificates, TCP/IP) and troubleshooting across layers.
Strong proficiency with SCCM for software distribution, application packaging, and endpoint management.
Knowledge of enterprise packaging standards (MSI, MSIX, scripts)
Strong PowerShell and scripting automation skills for packaging, deployment orchestration, and diagnostics.
Superb communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and influence technical and customer audiences.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving attitude with the ability to lead sophisticated technical initiatives.
Flexibility to travel when required for key deployments or customer engagements.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and container technologies
Exposure to trading‑floor or real‑time systems within front‑office environments.
Experience delivering enablement programmes, internal training, or best‑practice frameworks for technical teams.
