As part of our Food, Beverage and Consumer Goods team, you’ll help our customers connect business processes and leverage data-driven technology for better visibility, agility and responsiveness. The purpose of this role is to complete technical tasks as required in the delivery of client implementations of Trade Promotion Management software. As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will be performing advanced development tasks to a high standard, following and contributing to corporate development processes. As an experienced consultant, you will eventually provide mentorship to your peers and participate in functional and technical discussions, with Solution Architects and Business Consultants. In order to support our client implementations, it is sometimes required to travel for onsite meetings and internal team meetings in our offices are encouraged to better develop working relationships.
Here’s how:
• Taking full ownership for delivery of technical tasks, including detailed technical design, code development and unit testing.
• Resolving issues identified by internal and client testers as identified during project testing phases.
• Contributing to the estimation process through accurately tracking time worked on tasks.
• Providing updates on progress of tasks to the technical lead and project manager.
Objectives for this role will be agreed with the technical lead, and will include a blend of task delivery, input into TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods' processes and personal development.
What you bring to this role:
• Solid experience of database development using SQL Server stack 2012 or above, Knowledge of SQL Server Suite, V12.
• Experience working with Developer tools such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Team Server
• Kimball methodologies for Data Warehousing
• Strong experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for big data, relational databases,
• An analytical mindset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional organisational skills
• Leadership skills, and ability to work independently.
• Other beneficial experience includes having worked on technologies such as PowerShell, C#, Java, Node.js, Python, SQL, ADLS/Blob, Databricks.
