The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for solution design, implementation, technical leadership, client engagement, quality assurance, and documentation in the insurance sector, specifically with Duck Creek or Guidewire products.
Role • Senior Technical Consultant – Insurance ( Duck Creek) Responsibilities • Solution Design and Implementation: o Participate in the design; development; and implementation of solutions using Duck Creek or Guidewire products such as Duck Creek Policy; Claims; Billing; Clarity; Reinsurance; Producer and Policyholder portals; or Guidewire PolicyCenter; ClaimCenter; BillingCenter; Digital; Data Hub. o Ensure solutions are scalable; reliable; and aligned with industry best practices. • Technical Leadership: o Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and development teams. o Conduct code reviews; ensure adherence to coding standards; and foster a culture of continuous improvement. • Client Engagement: o Act as a primary point of contact for clients; understanding their business needs and translating them into technical requirements. o Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather detailed business requirements and create functional specifications. • Quality Assurance: o Develop and execute test plans to ensure the integrity and quality of delivered solutions. o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; ensuring seamless integration and functionality. • Documentation and Training: o Create comprehensive documentation for implemented solutions; including design documents; technical specifications; and user manuals. o Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer and solution adoption. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; Information Technology; or a related field. Master’s degree is a solution delivery. o Proven track record of successful implementation and customization of Duck Creek or Guidewire products.
