The Senior Business Analyst will deliver business and technical analysis for the Listed Rates and other securities business lines as part of business-led change projects. They will ensure that changes to services are fully assessed to enable the development of suitable solutions. The Senior BA will work closely with IT development and the operations test team to ensure projects are delivered optimally and on time.
This position presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in business analysis within a relevant field. The role includes provisions for necessary support and training. The Business Analyst team will operate in a hybrid mode, offering flexibility and adaptability in their work approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse the impact on systems of new Listed Rates product features and service enhancements.. Responsible for the elicitation, analysis and documentation of business needs in order to formulate business requirements at the Feature, Epic and User Story levels.
- Liaise with Product teams, Risk and Business Operations areas to ensure to verify that all partner requirements are gathered and detailed as appropriate.
- Provide required project documentation, including Business Requirements and Functional Specifications outlining the Business and System needs. Specially the business requirement will be detailed in BDD format in support of automation.
- Work with colleagues to plan and develop solutions, ensuring that they are effectively communicated.
- Works closely with Solution Architecture team to ensure solution designs meet business requirements, including Non-Functional requirements. Help to define test cases and scenarios for relevant test phases, including Functional, User Acceptance and Regression.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience of working on large scale IT projects as a Senior Business Analyst and good social skills and demonstrates the ability to work to agreed schedules.
- Deep knowledge of Financial Products, Repo, Equities markets in particular
- A solid grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies, and experience working in multi-functional development teams. Knowledge of project management and system development lifecycle will be an added benefit.
- In-depth knowledge of messaging of SWIFT and FIXML messaging in the context of trading and solid grasp of XML and JSON data formats.
- Experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on digital products or financial technology with education to university degree level.
