Our Mission

The way businesses buy stuff is completely broken. Whether it’s SaaS, hardware, or contractors, the average B2B purchase takes over 3 months, requires 50+ emails, and involves multiple different stakeholders (IT, Legal, InfoSec, Finance, etc.). No one likes the way it is and it’s slowing businesses down.
Omnea’s platform handles the entire purchasing process: giving employees an easy place to make requests (Intake), managing the necessary approvals for the purchase to be made (Approvals Engine), and automating all renewals management & supplier risk assessments. Omnea gives both buyers, and finance & procurement leaders critical visibility into how, when, and why money is being spent.
Given the current market's increased focus on capital efficiency, there has never been a more vital time for businesses to use Omnea and get control of their spend. This is why we're one of the fastest growing Series A B2B businesses in Europe, backed by tier-1 VCs like Accel, First Round, & Point Nine.

Welcome to Spend Control 2.0 — built for tougher times.

What we're looking for

Omnea is scaling fast, and building an exceptional engineering team is one of the most important levers we have. We're looking for a Senior Talent Lead, Engineering to take full ownership of scaling our product and engineering org from 25 to 50+ across the UK and Europe.

You’ll partner directly with our Head of Engineering (Theo) and the rest of the engineering leadership team to define and execute a high-quality hiring engine. You’ll drive everything from sourcing and outreach, to process design, to candidate closing. You’ll help us recruit world-class engineers and position Omnea as one of the best engineering teams in Europe and beyond.

We’re building a different type of talent function -- one that combines the rigour and quality of executive search with the speed and scale of a scaleup. This role is for someone who wants to be embedded with engineering leadership, have real ownership, and help shape both the team and the culture of Omnea’s product org as we scale.

What can you expect?
  • You’ll help us build one of Europe’s best engineering teams from the ground up, working from first principles and holding a high bar for technical craft, velocity, and talent density.

  • You’ll partner with our Head of Engineering and technical leaders to refine the hiring strategy as we scale to tens of top performers, aligning closely with product and roadmap goals.

  • You’ll create the playbook to hire full-stack engineers, and technical leaders across the UK and Europe. That includes designing high-quality interview processes that assess for both technical excellence and cultural alignment.

  • You’ll close your first 3–5 critical hires within your first 90 days -- engineers who will become foundational to the team.

  • You’ll work closely with engineering leadership to build not just a high-performing team, but a culture of ambition, technical excellence, and collaboration. You’ll help set the tone for what it means to be an engineer at Omnea -- who we hire, how we work, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

  • You’ll operate at high velocity. In your first 6 months, you’ll help us hire 25+ engineers, which means reviewing thousands of profiles, running many screens a month, and staying relentless in raising the bar even under pressure. This role demands pace, rigour, and grit.

  • You’ll build a diverse, high-intent pipeline of technical talent and help position Omnea as a great employer for world-class engineers who want to work on complex problems.

  • You’ll run full-cycle recruiting across all levels of seniority, from engineers with 3-4 years of experience to seasoned technical leaders. You’ll write compelling role pitches, own candidate engagement, and close with confidence by articulating our engineering culture and technical trajectory.

  • You’ll build smart systems for scale -- running referral programs that actually deliver, training engineers to be exceptional interviewers, and building relationships with the best tech communities and talent out there.

  • You’ll act as a true partner to engineering leadership. That means forecasting headcount, shaping team structure, and producing data-driven hiring reports that inform broader company strategy.

  • You’ll shape Omnea’s presence in the engineering market by running events, contributing to community content, and embedding us into the networks where great engineers spend their time.

About you
  • You’ve got 5+ years of experience hiring engineers in high-growth startups or similarly fast-paced, high-accountability environments. You know what great looks like in technical talent and hold a high bar, but you’re also pragmatic, fast-moving, and solutions-oriented.

  • You’re technical enough to credibly discuss engineering roles and hiring requirements. You’ve hired across modern stacks like TypeScript, React, Serverless and AWS.

  • You’re commercial; you understand how hiring impacts revenue and you think like a businessperson, not a recruiter. You continuously leverage data to track, refine and optimise hiring KPIs.

  • You’ve got a track record of exceptional performance, whether in work, academics, sports, or anywhere else you’ve applied yourself. People trust you to get stuff done & you've built a great network in the startup & scale-up ecosystem.

  • You’re entrepreneurial and want to be part of building a business. You’re not looking for a narrow recruiter role; you want ownership, influence, and to play a key role in shaping a GTM team through our scaling journey.

  • You’re a great communicator, i.e. clear, concise, and persuasive. You can write great outreach, pitch to a passive candidate, have exceptional behavioural and competency-based interviewing skills, and can hold your own in a strategic conversation with senior leaders.

  • You’re a ruthless prioritiser, highly organised, and focused on outcomes over inputs. You’re efficient, leveraging AI throughout all your processes, and autonomous without compromising on quality.

  • You’re ambitious and competitive; not in a sharp-elbows way, but because you care deeply about your career and doing the best work of your life. You’re hungry to grow fast and know that great things require effort and discipline.

  • And you’re just a really good human, i.e. collaborative, kind, low-ego. You want to win, but not at the expense of others. You give feedback generously and seek it actively. You raise the bar for those around you.

At Omnea, we embrace diversity. To build a product that's loved by everyone, we're best served by a team with all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't quite match the full job spec! And regardless of your race, religion, colour, gender, or anything else! If you think you could be a good fit for Omnea, please reach out.

A few things to note:
  • We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time, and you can read more about why we believe this is a winning move here

  • We're commercial, ambitious and we don't pretend otherwise! We're actively seeking folks looking to make the most of a career-defining opportunity, with the hunger to be part of building something really impressive. You can see our values here

  • We sometimes use AI note-takers to help us transcribe interview notes, so we can be more present in your interview. If you'd like to opt out of us using automatic transcribers, please note this in the free text field in your application, otherwise we'll take your application as confirmation that you're happy for us to use notetakers (whether added to video calls or in the background).

We are proud to be recognised for both our culture and product, and we are just getting started. Join us as we grow!
