About Dust

Work is being rewritten, and the people holding the pen are the ones who actually run it.

We call them AI operators: the employees inside companies who build, deploy, and run AI agents for their teams, without waiting for someone to hand them a tool. Dust is the platform they choose to rewire how their company works.

With 70%+ weekly active users, people stick with Dust as much as they do with Slack and Notion. We don't get piloted and shelved. We land once, and spread. We're at an exciting stage of our journey, and growing fast.

We're serving great customers like Datadog, 1Password, Cursor, Clay, and Persona, and aim to x5 our growth by the end of 2026.

Dust is backed by Sequoia with a determined team of optimists (coming from Stripe, OpenAI, and Stanford) who like to focus on users, ship fast, and don't take themselves too seriously while doing so. The Generalist named us among the Future 50.

Summary

We're scaling from 80 to 150+ people by the end of 2026. This is not a fill-the-funnel recruiting role, it's about maintaining and raising talent density as we scale. You'll be a strategic partner to hiring managers across GTM and/or Engineering, owning full-cycle recruitment with a strong emphasis on sourcing. You'll also help us build the future of AI-powered talent, using Dust and other AI tools to reinvent how recruiting works as well as redefining what roles look like in the world of AI.

What you'll do

Own Full-Cycle Recruiting at Scale

  • Drive hiring across GTM, Engineering and other departments, with a focus on roles talent density

  • Own proactive sourcing as the primary pipeline driver, not relying solely on inbound

  • Partner with hiring managers to define role scope, build scorecards, design interview processes, and calibrate on what great looks like

Be a Strategic Advisor to Stakeholders

  • Build deep trust with hiring managers by demonstrating strong judgment, domain expertise, and a clear point of view on what exceptional talent looks like

  • Challenge briefs, propose alternatives, and help stakeholders raise the bar. Rethink what talent looks like in a world of AI

  • Provide data-driven insights on hiring metrics, pipeline health, and market intelligence to inform hiring strategy

Build for the Future with AI

  • Use Dust and other AI tools to scale talent operations. Building agents, automating workflows, and creating leverage that makes us more efficient

  • Rethink recruiting processes and systems with an AI-first mindset

  • Contribute to building a world-class talent function that serves as a model for how AI can transform recruiting

We're Seeking

Every candidate and employee's success is measured against the same 3 dimensions: Aptitude, Attitude, and Agency.

Aptitude

  • Have 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a mix of agency and in-house roles at high-growth companies

  • Have a strong spike in either GTM or Engineering recruiting, with enough generalist flexibility to pick up roles across other functions when needed

  • Know how to attract the right talent through multiple motions. Sourcing is your priority, but you're also creative and experimental with how you build pipeline and engage candidates

  • Have a passion for AI's potential to transform how teams work and are actively using it to reinvent recruiting. You've built agents to create leverage.

  • Possess strong judgment and taste for talent. You can articulate what makes someone exceptional, and you're comfortable saying no when a candidate doesn't meet the bar

Attitude

  • Excel at stakeholder management and partnership. You build trust quickly, challenge hiring managers when needed, and help raise the bar on what great looks like. You're focused on talent density, not just filling roles

  • Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and enjoy juggling multiple priorities without losing sight of quality or craft

  • Are transparent and direct. You surface bad news proactively, give feedback clearly, and don't soften the message when it matters

  • Put candidates and hiring managers at the center of your work. You care deeply about the experience you create and the outcomes you deliver

Agency

  • Have a proactive mindset and operate with high agency. You identify gaps and fix them without being asked, you build things that don't exist yet

  • Are data-driven. You use metrics to diagnose what's broken and inform decisions, not just to report activity

  • Own problems end-to-end. You know who to involve and when, and you drive to resolution without needing constant oversight

  • Take a brief and run with it. You challenge when something doesn't make sense, propose alternatives, and deliver outcomes without being managed at every step

Nice-to-Haves
  • You've already used Dust

  • You have experience with Ashby

  • Familiarity with the Paris tech talent markets

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: €70,000 - €100,000 base salary

  • 🏡 We offer substantial support for relocation (up to 10k€), including finding an apartment in Paris and supporting you with the visa procedure

  • Significant equity package in a Sequoia-backed startup

  • Health insurance for you and your dependents

  • New MacBook Pro, monitor, keyboard, etc.

  • Beautiful office in the heart of Paris

  • Opportunity to travel to the US multiple times a year

  • Regular team events and offsite

We can go higher for outstanding profiles.

Location

We're prioritizing building our team with an in-person culture at our offices in Paris and San Francisco, because we value the magic that happens when talented people work closely together.

Why Dust

We're not building yet another enterprise SaaS tool. We’re creating an AI OS that will fundamentally change how companies operate. We believe existing AI models are powerful enough to have a tremendous impact on the world (and will keep getting better). The key is building the infrastructure so they have the right context, and building the best interfaces for humans to interact with them.

We have the unique opportunity to explore and shape the way humans interact with machines while building a product we use ourselves every day.

If you're excited about crafting products that reinvent B2B software and want to join a team that combines the best of startup culture with the backing of top-tier investors, we'd love to talk.

👋 Even if you don't check every box in our requirements, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and we're more interested in your potential and passion than a perfect match to our checklist.
