Are you ready to shape the future of data?

Matillion is the company behind Maia, the AI Data Automation platform.

In the AI economy, demand for data is exploding. Manual data engineering can’t keep up. Maia fixes that by combining 15 years of data expertise with agentic AI to eliminate the manual work that slows data teams down. Organisations like Cisco, DocuSign, and Slack are already using it to deliver real business impact, faster.

We started in Manchester and now we’re global - with teams across the UK, US and India.

We are driven, curious, energetic people who move fast, think big and hold ourselves to a high standard. We’re here to make a dent in the universe bigger than ourselves. And we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to own R&D hiring (Engineering and Product) across the UK and India. You’ll find people who aren’t looking, earn the trust of the leaders you hire for, and tell them things they may not want to hear when the market data says so. You won’t be an order-taker. You’ll shape the brief, set realistic expectations on timeline and compensation, and bring market insight before anyone asks.

What you'll be doing

  • You’ll own a full Engineering and Product requisition load across the UK and India, setting the gold standard for sourcing quality and assessment rigour.
  • You’ll move beyond job boards to proactively headhunt high-calibre, diverse talent through direct outreach, communities, and networks, to maximise direct hires.
  • You’ll use market insights and commercial context to challenge hiring manager perspectives, ensuring we hire the best talent at the right time.
  • You'll coach hiring managers on assessment best practice, ensuring every process is rigorous, consistent, and inclusive.
  • You’ll build and use AI in your day-to-day work, from sourcing and intake prep to reporting, to improve hiring quality and make you an even more effective recruiter.
  • You’ll contribute to the broader TA strategy by driving high-impact projects in areas like employer branding, DEI, and continuous process improvement.

What you'll bring

  • Significant talent acquisition experience, ideally in a B2B technology business, with a proven track record of successfully hiring technical talent.
  • Experience recruiting in the UK and India, understanding how the two markets differ.
  • Proactively uses market insights and data to drive efficient hiring processes and influence stakeholder buy-in.
  • Credibility to advice and influence senior stakeholders, up to VP-level, with the evidence to back it up.
  • Strong commercial awareness. Understands the business reason behind every hire and use it to shape strategy and manage expectations.
  • High ownership. You have high standards for your own work, and those you partner with.
  • Resilient, quality-obsessed, and comfortable with pace and ambiguity.

Our Hiring Process

Here's what to expect:

  1. Screening call (40 minutes). A conversation with our TA team about your background, what you're looking for, and how we work.
  2. Hiring Manager interview (1 hour). We'll dig into how you partner with stakeholders, challenge hiring briefs, and run a search.
  3. Take-home task. A practical exercise based on the work you'd do here.
  4. Stakeholder and culture interview virtual onsite. Meet the leaders and peers you'd partner with, and tell us how you'd contribute positively to our culture.

Compensation

At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level and country. This role’s estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is £56,000 - £80,000. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
