We are currently hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in the UK! This role can be home and/or office based and will work as part of a Global team. You will be a contributor in Global and Regional infrastructure projects with guidance from senior team members, work to ensure maximum uptime to essential systems, mentor junior staff members to promote standardization and project initiatives and work closely with other IT Management and technical staff to promote, evaluate and test Infrastructure solutions.
Key Accountabilities

Leads complex systems projects both regionally and globally

Provide consultation and direction to IT Management and Infrastructure teams across multiple technology disciplines

Escalation point for regional and global technical issues from junior team members and IT teams

Responsible for technical management, operation and maintenance of Server infrastructure

Monitors and maintains Systems and Services

Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues

Evaluates, tests, and recommends solutions

Implementation of Systems and ensures quality standards

Provides ongoing information to management and peers regarding the general health of the environment, as well as enhancements and innovations

Keeps updated on industry trends and emerging technologies as applicable to Parexel

Keeps IT management abreast of any changes in the technologies which may impact our business
Skills and Experience
-
5 + years of experience in a Systems Engineering role

Required to have a solid understanding of VMware VSAN and VCF
-
Required to have a solid understanding of Cisco UCS hardware platforms
-
Solid understanding of networking and storage arrays/networks is desired
-
Solid understanding of Zerto is a plus
