We’re just getting started and are looking for more people to join us on our journey!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an ambitious, hands-on Strategy & Operations Manager (m/f/d) to drive high-impact initiatives - some current examples include: scaling our UK business, expanding to the US, and contributing to broader strategic projects.

This is a unique opportunity for a rising operations or strategy professional to shape how one of Europe’s most dynamic fintechs grows its global market presence. Reporting into senior leadership, you will work cross-functionally across commercial, finance, product, and operations teams, owning strategic projects from ideation through execution.

This is an ideal role for someone entrepreneurial who thrives on variety, is deeply analytical, and enjoys solving complex operational challenges in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

This will be a hybrid role based in London.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own Cross-Functional Strategic Initiatives: Identify, scope, and lead strategic projects that drive commercial growth, operational efficiency and business scalability across the EU, UK and US entities
  • Drive Business Insights & Performance: Develop actionable insights through data analysis, market research, and performance tracking - helping inform key decisions around product, commercial strategy, operations, and finance
  • Operational Excellence: Work hands-on with functional leaders to streamline key business processes, identify operational gaps, and implement scalable solutions across core functions such as customer onboarding, payments processing, credit management, and reporting
  • Commercial & Market Growth Projects: Support UK / US leadership on go-to-market initiatives, new product rollouts, and partnership development - contributing to Pliant international growth
  • Project Management: Own project timelines, track progress against key milestones, and ensure cross-team alignment on strategic priorities
  • Executive Support: Prepare materials and analysis for Board, investor, or regulatory audiences as needed - helping ensure leadership decisions are grounded in robust data and insights

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 2–5+ years experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategy, operations, corporate development, venture-backed fintech, or high-growth startups
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and moving parts
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; highly comfortable working with data and translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity - you bring structure and clarity to evolving priorities and thrive in dynamic environments
  • Proven reliability and accountability - you consistently follow through on commitments and deliver high-quality work on time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and align diverse teams
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, lending, or a regulated environment is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field; MBA a plus but not required

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The opportunity to work in a growing team with big responsibilities that thrives on a strong exchange of knowledge and excellence
  • Attractive remuneration
  • Your choice of preferred OS, Windows or Mac
  • Flat hierarchy and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere
  • Opportunity to develop your talent in a dynamic team with ambitious goals
  • Flexibility and possibility to work remotely
  • Company card with a monthly allowance for lunches, coffee, etc. with co-workers
