About FT Longitude
FT Longitude is a thought leadership specialist that is fully owned by the Financial Times Group. Our product offering spans three areas: Strategy, a set of services that helps clients to plan and execute effective and differentiated thought leadership campaigns; Research, which encompasses surveys, interview programmes, data modelling and desk research; and Content, which covers multi-format thought leadership campaigns, spanning reports, articles, opinion pieces, visual and interactive content. The Role
As a Senior Strategist at FT Longitude, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping thought leadership campaign strategies for multinational clients across diverse sectors. Reporting to the Director of Strategy, you’ll collaborate closely with a dynamic team of strategists, designers, and editors to deliver campaigns that have a meaningful commercial and marketing impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and lead innovative campaign strategies tailored to client objectives and target audiences.
- Build coherent campaigns that drive commercial and marketing outcomes, leveraging expertise from adjacent disciplines where relevant.
- Collaborate with internal teams across design, editorial, commercial, and project management to shape successful campaign plans.
- Lead strategy-related workshops and facilitate sessions with senior client stakeholders.
- Support the evolution of FT Longitude’s strategic frameworks and methodologies.
- Train and develop the wider team in content strategy principles to ensure high-quality, consistent work delivery.
- Assist commercial colleagues in diagnosing client issues and crafting effective solutions.
- Work with Financial Times colleagues to co-create impactful marketing and content strategies for a range of industries.
- Ensure seamless integration between content strategy, execution, and delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep understanding of strategic marketing communications and content-led campaign strategies.
- Knowledge of business, economic, and management trends, ideally within a thought leadership context.
- Demonstrable experience leading client relationships at a senior level, including CMOs.
- Proven ability to lead strategic pitches and contribute to commercial conversations.
- Expertise in B2B marketing channels, including social media, SEO, media, owned channels, and sales enablement.
- Experience devising and implementing content strategies aligned with clear KPIs and marketing effectiveness.
- Strong creative and strategic thinking applied across disciplines.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling competing priorities.
