We’re looking for a Senior Strategic Pricing Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with advanced pricing and packaging skills to drive pricing and packaging for Lightspeed's SaaS and Payments products globally. In this role you will help drive revenue growth across SaaS and Payments products by implementing effective pricing and packaging strategies, establishing solid processes for measuring their impact, and building strong relationships with a wide variety of key stakeholders. As the Senior Strategic Pricing Specialist, you will be the the go-to expert on pricing, contributing to broader strategic decisions on competition, product development, and go-to-market strategies.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses advanced analytical skills to design and analyse complex pricing projects using advanced market research methods. You are able to collaborate strategically across departments, transforming detailed analyses into actionable business insights, and can communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions and financial outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Be responsible for driving the pricing decisions for SaaS and Payments in specific verticals, becoming an expert on competitor strategies.
  • Conduct periodic pricing updates and research to optimise outcomes and monetise new features.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate insights into pricing strategies and develop guidelines for discounts and promotions.
  • Develop processes for implementing pricing changes and new features, coordinating with teams like Billing and Marketing. Communicate discounting and promotion guidelines with relevant teams to ensure consistent execution.
  • Create a framework to track the success of pricing changes, using insights to refine strategies. 
  • Use market research skills to inform product roadmaps and strategy, aligning insights from pricing and market analysis to guide product, marketing, and sales decisions.

What you need to bring:

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Extensive experience in pricing and packaging research (experience in SaaS, Payments, or B2B environments is a bonus)
  • Proven track record of influencing and collaborating with multiple teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Previous experience in creating and implementing new work routines and processes.
  • Skilled in financial modelling and understanding commercial business models.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, global projects that involve various parts of the organisation.
