As Senior Story Editor you’ll read through submissions, and sourced pitches and scripts, and identify those that have the right ingredients for an outstanding narrative. This role requires a deep understanding of story structure, editorial processes, and continuity management. You’ll serve as both a critical evaluator and a creative partner, ensuring narratives are coherent, consistent, compelling, and well-developed, while fitting into Larian’s overall vision and direction.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide editorial feedback on pitches, outlines, scripts, and narrative treatments
- Monitor the progression and consistency of multiple stories in development, both internal and external
- Ensure narrative coherence, including consistency in character development, lore, and thematic elements
- Coordinate with writers and producers to improve story cohesion and clarity
- Maintain organized documentation, story archives, and detailed narrative records
Requirements
- Experience in story editing, script coverage, narrative design, or publishing/editorial roles
- Strong grasp of character, theme, plot, and structure
- Detail-oriented with an ability to work across multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent written communication and story evaluation skills

This position will be based full-time from our Guildford studio, and international business travel may be expected on occasion.
