About Faculty

At Faculty, we transform organisational performance through safe, impactful and human-centric AI.

With more than a decade of experience, we provide over 350 global customers with software, bespoke AI consultancy, and Fellows from our award winning Fellowship programme.

Our expert team brings together leaders from across government, academia and global tech giants to solve the biggest challenges in applied AI.

Should you join us, you’ll have the chance to work with, and learn from, some of the brilliant minds who are bringing Frontier AI to the frontlines of the world.

About Frontier

Frontier is Faculty’s AI as a service product - an AI-powered simulation technology which improves the speed, quality and execution of decisions across enterprise. Using a computational twin framework, it goes beyond business intelligence and data science to connect AI models and siloed data from across organisations, and enable decision intelligence on a new scale.

In line with our conviction that AI should be human-led, Frontier enables the best combination of human and machine intelligence by making AI models interactive so business users can test future scenarios, understand impact, and make optimal decisions.

About the role

This is an influential and client-facing position at the intersection of sales and a new class of technology. It requires an individual who thrives on distilling clarity from abstract problems, is tenacious in the face of complexity, and wants to design bespoke ML solutions to real-world problems.

As a Senior Solutions engineer, your role will be to understand customer needs and how they map on to the feature set of our Frontier product. You will be responsible for discovering client needs, designing technical solutions which address these, and supporting the sales/delivery teams with compelling and well-scoped proposals. You’ll lead on communicating these solutions to the customer through presentations and demos, and will gather customer feedback to influence future proposals and product roadmaps.

What you’ll be doing
  • Driving ARR in new logos by the effective demonstration of Frontier

  • Designing the storyboard for product demos, specific to individual customer problems

  • Performing product demonstrations in client meetings in a way that communicates the value to the customer

  • Producing technical solution designs and scopes for a given customer problem, articulating the component models that need to be built, configured, connected and the relationships between them

  • Leading customer discovery sessions to narrow down problem statements and scope

  • Acting as the technical representative of Frontier in initial customer meetings, demonstrating personal and organisational credibility

  • Working with sales, delivery and machine learning/data scientists to ensure effective pitch and delivery of solutions

  • Contributing high-quality, persuasive written content to proposals

What we will look for

  • Experience working as a data scientist, machine learning or software engineer, combined with delivering projects directly to customers

  • Demonstrable ability to think creatively about solutions - particularly in circumstances where there are gaps in data or technology

  • Experience designing and selling solutions with a bespoke ML/DS element - not solely LLMs

  • Expertise understanding customer challenges - breaking them down into clear requirements and articulating how customisable technology can meet their needs

  • Experience communicating technical concepts to a technical and non-technical audience - ability to read the room and tailor detail accordingly

  • Accustomed to providing estimates of the size and scope of a solution; sourcing input from SMEs to inform this

  • Engaging, crisp, presentation and demonstration style

  • Life Sciences/CPG industry experience would be beneficial, but is not essential

What we can offer you:

The Faculty team is diverse and distinctive, and we all come from different personal, professional and organisational backgrounds. We all have one thing in common: we are driven by a deep intellectual curiosity that powers us forward each day.

Faculty is the professional challenge of a lifetime. You’ll be surrounded by an impressive group of brilliant minds working to achieve our collective goals.
Our consultants, product developers, business development specialists, operations professionals and more all bring something unique to Faculty, and you’ll learn something new from everyone you meet.
