Lead pre-sales and post-sales technical support for enterprise customers, managing deployments and ensuring system reliability. Collaborate with sales and product teams, focusing on high-volume document processing solutions.
Senior Solutions Engineer (Enterprise Automation) — Berlin (Preferred) | EMEA Scope, Global Customers
Foxit’s Enterprise Automation business is scaling fast — more customers, larger deployments, and a broader product footprint. We’re adding a second Senior Solutions Engineer to serve as a parallel owner and direct backup for mission-critical technical responsibilities across Rendition Server and related Enterprise Automation products.
This role is ideally based in Berlin and aligned to EMEA recruiting, while supporting customers, partners, and internal teams globally.
What You’ll Do
1) Pre-Sales Technical Leadership (Rendition Server)
Partner with Sales across EMEA, US, and APAC to drive technical wins
Support closed markets including Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea
Enable channel partners, SIs, and resellers
Run technical discovery, architecture discussions, demos, and scenario-based positioning
Own technical responses for RFPs/tenders and help customers build internal approval cases
Set up and support customer trials (typically 6 weeks to 6 months)
2) Post-Sales & Production Ownership
Provide post-sales technical ownership for ~55 enterprise customers worldwide (plus growing eSign environments)
Support both direct and partner-led deployments
Serve as an escalation point for production environments where downtime isn’t an option
Support large-scale deployments processing hundreds of millions to billions of pages per year
Engage customers via Salesforce, email, and direct calls to drive resolution and stability
3) Product Partnership (Enterprise Automation)
Work closely with Product Management on planning, prioritization, and release readiness
Support integration efforts across Rendition Server, Smart Redact Server, and IDP
Join customer conversations tied to security audits, architecture reviews, and feature requests
4) Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) Enablement
Identify strong-fit customers and use cases for IDP
Participate in internal strategy and planning calls
Co-lead customer engagements as the technical solution owner
Position IDP as an enterprise solution and entry point during presentations
Optional Areas (Nice to Have / Depending on Need)
PDF Compressor: help with complex escalations and renewal/support situations
CVision legacy products: advanced support for OpenText integrations (Captiva, Documentum)
Developer/Engineering support: reproduce edge cases, validate fixes, reduce engineering load; coordinate with vendors (e.g., Callas, Tungsten)
Cross-functional support: provide technical input for Finance (delivery/audit questions) and Marketing (data sheets, white papers)
What We’re Looking For
Experience in PDF, document management, and document-centric workflows
Strong track record across pre-sales + post-sales technical ownership
Comfort supporting mission-critical, high-volume production environments
Solid understanding of server architectures (on-prem, virtualized, cloud, hybrid)
Clear communicator with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
Able to operate independently while coordinating tightly with Sales, Support, and Product
Location & Scope
Preferred location: Berlin (EMEA)
Global customer coverage across EMEA, Americas, and APAC
Occasional travel for strategic customers and internal collaboration
