Role/Department Description

The Content Integration Framework team is seeking a talented, motivated Senior Software Engineer with strong Python and SQL skills.

This team, part of Data Solutions Engineering, is at the forefront of transforming how FactSet ingests and distributes data across the business. Our mission is to streamline and modernise data pipelines for both first- and third-party data, building the foundation of FactSet’s future cloud-oriented service layer.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will guide architecture and technical direction, mentor a small distributed team (UK & France), and design scalable solutions that power FactSet’s global data strategy. You’ll be exposed to the entire technology stack, with opportunities to rapidly prototype and deliver impactful systems at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable data pipelines for ingestion and transformation.

  • Influence the team’s technical strategy and system architecture to ensure robust, high-quality solutions.

  • Drive adoption of infrastructure as code and promote automated, cloud-native deployment practices.

  • Mentor and support engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.

  • Strong expertise in Python and SQL.

  • Proven success in leading the delivery of complex software systems into production.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS core services (S3, Glue, EKS, MSK).

Additional/Desired Skills

  • Strong background in designing distributed, multi-threaded systems.

  • Experience with Databricks and Spark.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and deliver stretch goals.

Education

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
