You’ll be joining our Engineering Practice who are an incredible team with some of the smartest engineers in Australia, and we’re dedicated to building a world class engineering capability across CBA, Bankwest and X15.  We’re committed to building the smartest, most efficient solutions for our engineering community, from the best tooling, career development pathways, to driving exciting initiatives across the Group.  

We’re now growing our team and searching for a Senior Software Engineer who find’s tackling intellectually challenging engineering problems exciting, are confident decision makers and can bring their fully cycle engineering expertise to drive change in ways of working.  If you’re driven by pushing the boundaries, thinking outside the box, constantly innovating to design and build the best tech solutions – this might be your next career move.

You’ll be leading the way in designing & building digital solutions to support our engineers, you’ll feel inspired by creating efficiencies, incorporating automation, and further embedding our shift left approach to software development.  Working with the Crew you’ll play a critical role in the design & delivery of various initiatives, always thinking ahead and challenging the status quo.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few.

• Show a genuine passion for software engineering, always looking for new technologies that offer more efficiency, stability, reliability and speed to production

• Are decision makers, with the technical expertise to influence on which technologies to use, and the ability to articulate the why

• Invest their time in understanding the future direction of software engineering (DevSecOps, AI, Machine Learning) and emerging technologies

• Enjoy voicing their opinions, like to be challenged and are always open to new ideas

• Are language agnostic (we’re not looking for any specific language expertise) – showing versatility, adaptability and a great engineering mind

Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.

• .Net Core (C#), Angular or Typescript, NextJS

• SQL Server / Oracle / Postgres

• DevSecOps

• AWS, Azure deployment experience

• Microservice Architectures or Kubernetes
