About the Role
 

You will play a key part in the data and process services for our evolving Journal Production Services platform
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Acting within an Agile development squad to implementing solutions that deliver value to Elsevier and their partners
  • Writing and creating quality software by following development best practices and processes for testing and coding
  • Minimizing code-level technical debt and improving existing legacy code through continual refactoring
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide support and guidance for the full software development life-cycle of products
  • Creating and building scalable, sustainable and architecturally sound solutions to ensure we create and deliver innovation
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members and partners to develop their skills in software development and best-practice
  • Providing direction on project plans, schedules, and methodologies

Requirements
 

  • Key skills in RDBMS (Oracle), Integration, Spring Boot and JPA
  • Utilise BPMN Engines (Camunda), Cloud platforms (AWS, Google), EKS Kubernetes, SAAS
  • Able to show experience with Jira, Confluence
  • Experience in globally distributed teams and partners
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products and demonstrate solid IT research, software analysis and design skills
  • Administer the delivery of successful projects and to solve problems through innovation, mentoring junior members of the squad
