Datadog’s Product Engineering teams build the interfaces that customers rely on to observe, monitor, and troubleshoot their systems in real time. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll lead the development of complex UI features used daily by hundreds of thousands of users across our core observability products. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to shape the user experience, own architectural decisions, and continuously improve the performance and accessibility of our frontend systems. What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and deliver scalable frontend features for Datadog’s core observability products
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define user experiences, data flows, and APIs
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to long-term architectural decisions
- Improve performance, reliability, and accessibility of user-facing applications
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability
- Mentor other engineers and promote frontend engineering best practices across the team
Who You Are:
- You have 6+ years of experience building production-grade frontend applications at scale
- You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React
- You have strong knowledge of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and browser fundamentals
- You’ve taken major features from concept to launch with minimal supervision
- You’re an effective communicator who can influence technical direction
- You prioritize user experience and have an eye for UI quality and detail
