Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Data Connectors Platform

We provide a search API used by thousands of customers in more than 100 countries. Billions of search queries are answered every month thanks to the code we push into production every day.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on the Connectors Platform Team, you will partner closely with software engineers to enhance and streamline our infrastructure and engineering workflows. Your efforts will directly enable our customers to integrate their data into Algolia quickly, reliably, and securely.

The Data Connectors Platform team empowers customers to integrate their data into Algolia quickly, reliably, and securely. Our platform encompasses:

• Data ingestion pipelines
• Data Transformation pipelines (internal and customer-facing)
• Shopify, Commercetools, and BigCommerce integrations
• AI Enrichment service
• Data Connectors (Data sources like JSON, BigQuery, and MySQL, etc)
• Algolia API Clients (available in 11 languages)

• Improve the reliability, scalability, and security of Connector Platform infrastructure
• Support our monitoring, incident response, and continuous deployment initiatives
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to refine and optimize development and deployment processes
• Ensure our platforms maintain high availability, security standards, and performance
• Proactively identify and resolve potential system bottlenecks and vulnerabilities

• Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform and distributed systems in production
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, and DataDog
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Solid understanding of network configuration and GCP security best practices
• Experience with incident response and on-call responsibilities
• Experience with Go programming language
