As a Senior SEM Manager, you’ll play a key role in scaling and optimizing our global paid search engine growth. You’ll turn data into strategy, automation into advantage, and experimentation into meaningful business impact - shaping how millions of learners discover Preply worldwide.

What you’ll do
  • Own and optimize SEM performance at scale across Google and Microsoft Ads, independently managing complex account structures, bidding strategies, automation, and creative frameworks across all markets.

  • Use performance data and business context to form advanced hypotheses and drive high-impact optimizations that improve ROI, conversion quality, and LTV/CAC efficiency.

  • Design, lead, and evaluate experimentation strategies (including A/B tests, geo tests, and incrementality frameworks), selecting the most appropriate validation methods and ensuring learnings translate into scalable impact.

  • Own channel-level reporting and insights, building and evolving dashboards (e.g. Looker) that surface clear growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making across stakeholders.

  • Partner deeply with Data and Martech teams to ensure robust tracking, attribution, and data reliability, and to evolve SEM tooling, automation, and experimentation capabilities.

  • Lead creative strategy for SEM, collaborating with Localisation, Creative, and Brand teams to define testing roadmaps, challenge creative direction using data, and ensure high-quality rollout across markets.

  • Actively shape SEM and broader marketing strategy, translating insights from performance, experimentation, and industry trends into clear recommendations and long-term direction.

  • Champion channel excellence, sharing learnings broadly within the SEM team and Marketing Chapter, defining best practices, and raising the overall bar for execution and experimentation.

  • Partner closely with the SEM Lead as a strategic thought partner, contributing to decision-making on SEM strategy, experimentation priorities and long-term channel evolution.

What we’re looking for
  • 6+ years of SEM experience in high-growth B2C environments, ideally with exposure to subscription-based models.

  • Proven ability to scale growth efficiently (LTV/CAC) across diverse products and regions.

  • Deep expertise in Google Ads operations, bidding strategies and automation.

  • Strong analytical and technical fluency with tools like Looker, Snowflake, and attribution systems.

  • Effective stakeholder manager — able to align Data, Martech, Product and Marketing teams around shared goals.

  • Hands-on with experimentation, designing A/B, geo and incrementality tests to drive measurable ROI.

  • Creative problem solver who combines analytical rigor with ownership and initiative.
