Online Education Services (OES) is a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of learners by expanding access to high-quality online education. We work in close partnership with universities and leading education providers across Australia and the United Kingdom, supporting the development of innovative, student-centred online programmes that make a genuine difference.

As a proud member of the SEEK Group, we benefit from the expertise and global reach of a world-renowned digital leader — while maintaining the collaborative, people-first culture that makes OES a great place to work. Our vision is bold: to become the world's most impactful enabler of education. We're well on our way, and we'd love you to be part of that journey.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Senior Salesforce Developer to join our technology team at our Birmingham City Centre offices.

In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of our Salesforce platform — the engine that powers how our teams deliver outstanding experiences for students and university partners alike. You will work closely with key internal stakeholders and liaise with third-party development teams, ensuring the platform continues to evolve in line with the needs of a dynamic, fast-growing organisation.

This is far more than a purely technical position. You will be a valued contributor to the wider business, helping shape the way technology supports our people and the students we serve.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Delivering continuous Salesforce enhancements and new functionality in line with business priorities
  • Overseeing day-to-day Salesforce administration and providing platform support to internal teams
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve workflows and implementing effective, scalable solutions
  • Investigating data integrity issues, determining root causes, and ensuring sustainable resolutions are put in place
  • Acting as the technical point of contact when collaborating with third-party development partners
  • Leading walkthroughs and demonstrations of new features for both new and existing members of staff, ensuring confident platform adoption across the business.
Who You'll Work With

You will report directly to the Salesforce Platform Manager and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the business, including:

  • IT Operations & Support and the wider IT team
  • Student Operations and Sales teams
  • Reporting Analysts who depend on accurate, well-structured data
  • University partners and a range of external vendors and service providers

Your expertise will be sought after at every level — from the technical team to the wider business stakeholders who rely on Salesforce to perform at their best.

Why Join OES?
  • Make a real impact — your work will directly support learners in accessing life-changing education
  • Be part of something bigger — OES is backed by the global scale and innovation of the SEEK Group
  • Grow with us — we are a forward-thinking organisation that continuously evolves, and we invest in the people who help us get there
  • A workplace that values you — we foster a collaborative, inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are welcomed and everyone is encouraged to thrive
  • Birmingham City Centre location — a vibrant, well-connected base right in the heart of the city

RequirementsWhat We're Looking For

We are seeking a Salesforce professional who brings both technical depth and a genuine passion for what the platform can achieve. To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience & Technical Skills
  • 4–6 years of experience working within the CRM domain
  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and implementation experience
  • Proven expertise across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud
  • Strong command of Apex development, including triggers, classes, and test methods
  • Proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, and Visualforce
  • Solid working knowledge of SOQL and SOSL
  • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, along with integrating third-party systems via oAuth and REST APIs
  • A thorough understanding of Salesforce governor limits, security best practices, and custom development standards
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain data consistency between Salesforce and integrated partner systems
Qualifications
  •  Salesforce Platform Developer I — Essential
  •  Salesforce Platform Developer II — Highly desirable
About You

Beyond your technical credentials, you are someone who communicates clearly and confidently — capable of translating complex technical concepts into plain language for non-technical colleagues. You are methodical, solutions-focused, and take genuine pride in the quality and reliability of your work. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams and with external partners, and you are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to something that truly matters.

Benefits
  • Global organisation focused on growth with lots of opportunities for our employees
  • Engaging & vibrant organisational culture
  • 35 hour working week, within a flexible working environment
  • OES values driven recruitment principles
  • Career-life fit – health & wellbeing focus
  • 25 days of annual leave + Bank holidays
  • Purchased leave scheme
  • OES strategy reflects respect, honesty & diversity
  • Continuous improvement through challenging & meaningful work
  • Study assistance and leave for eligible employees
  • High growth industry & strong partner/shareholder backing
  • Genuine focus on student success
  • Global mentoring program
  • We are proud to support the Living the Wage movement
How to Apply

If you are an experienced Salesforce Developer who is ready to bring your skills to a role where they will genuinely matter, we would love to hear from you.
