Senior Salesforce Administrator & IT Operations Lead

Technology Team  |  £40,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits  |  Full-time, Hybrid (South London)

Do you love turning business problems into elegant technology solutions? Are you the person colleagues turn to when Salesforce needs to just work? If that sounds like you, read on.

LDN Apprenticeships is a highly rated by Ofsted and B Corp-certified organisation with a straightforward mission: “We deliver skills programmes that build the capability of our learners and drive measurable, sustainable growth for our customers”.

Our Technology Team is central to that work, keeping our systems secure, scalable and running smoothly so the rest of the business can focus on what they do best.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take real ownership of our Salesforce platform and IT operations, working closely with our Head of Technology and the IT team to shape how we use technology and data to drive the business forward.

The role

You'll co-lead the administration, development and optimisation of our Salesforce platform, and support the effective running of our wider technology ecosystem. You'll make sure Salesforce stays secure, scalable and aligned to business needs, while providing technical leadership across systems, integrations, reporting and IT operations. The role blends Salesforce administration, solution design, business analysis and general IT support, working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver technology solutions that improve processes and support company growth.

What you'll do

  • Act as a Salesforce subject matter expert, providing advice, support and best practice guidance across all teams.
  • Manage Salesforce users, profiles, permissions, security settings and access controls, and maintain platform integrity and data quality.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable, well-designed Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead solution delivery end-to-end, from requirements gathering through testing, deployment and post-review.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytics that give the business genuinely useful insight.
  • Manage and support integrations between Salesforce and other business systems, including Thinkific, our learning platform.
  • Support customer, employer and learner-facing digital experiences, including Salesforce Communities.
  • Provide responsive IT support and helpdesk services, diagnosing and resolving issues across software, hardware and connectivity.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding, ensuring IT (software and hardware) access is set up and removed securely and efficiently.
  • Support our Head of Technology in delivering the technology roadmap, and deputise for them when required.
  • Promote best practice in technology adoption, systems management and data governance across the business.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced Salesforce professional who's just as comfortable talking to non-technical colleagues as they are configuring the platform. Here's what matters to us:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator, with extensive experience administering and developing Salesforce in a business-critical setting.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, automation, security and platform management.
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, and delivering system improvements.
  • Experience supporting integrations between Salesforce and external applications.
  • Strong reporting, dashboard creation and data analysis skills.
  • Experience providing IT support and managing business technology environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving abilities.

It would also be great if you have the following, but they are not essential:

  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I certification.
  • Experience within apprenticeships, education, training or skills-based organisations.
  • Experience working with Thinkific, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and related business systems.
  • Understanding of Cyber Essentials, GDPR and information security best practice.

Why join us

We believe how people are treated at work matters and our staff consistently rate our culture highly. On top of that, here's what we offer:

  • £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with an extra day added for each year you're with us (up to three years).
  • The option to buy additional holiday if you need more time to switch off.
  • Discretionary company-wide well-being days, when the whole company takes the day off together.
  • A company Apple MacBook. Good tools shouldn't be an afterthought.
  • Workplace pension with 4% employer contribution.
  • Hybrid working with real flexibility. Mostly remote, with at least one day a month at our South London office near Vauxhall/Stockwell.
  • Quarterly prizes for top performers across the business.
  • Regular socials including a summer party and a Christmas celebration worth showing up for.
