The opportunity  

 

Are you ready to power the future with Hitachi Energy? Join our innovative team as a Senior Sales Manager and play a crucial role in shaping the energy landscape.  

 

Your main objective will be to lead and guide the capture team to develop  opportunities and positioning Hitachi Energy as partner of choice, deliver high quality and strategically focused bids, lead negotiations successful contract closure. This position involves working in collaboration across many stakeholders and will require excellent open and honest communication skills, with a strategic mind and an ability to work with a team to strict deadlines. 
 
 

 

Your responsibilities: 

 

Monitor Market Requirements: Engage proactively with stakeholders, build and manage relationships, enhance market channels, and optimize solutions for success. 

Lead Capture Teams: Provide leadership on strategic opportunities, ensuring high-quality submissions aligned with Hitachi Energy's performance drivers and values. 

Financial and Technical Evaluation: Support commercial submissions, understand technical evaluations, and assess commercial terms and conditions. 

Bid Management: Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, manage technical, financial, and operational aspects, and ensure appropriate governance. 

Customer Relationships:Establish and maintain effective customer relationships, support sales and bid teams, and lead complex bids and negotiations. 

Strategic Contributions: Contribute to local business unit strategy, develop solutions, analyze customer needs, and identify new business opportunities. 

Marketing and Sales Plans: Develop marketing and sales plans, attend industry seminars, create success stories, and ensure alignment and effectiveness in strategy implementation. 

 

 

 

Your background: 

 

Educational Background:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (Electrical background is a plus, but not essential ). 

Experience: 15+ years in marketing and sales with a proven track record in team management, delivery of substation projects, and risk management. 

Sales Skills: Experience selling solutions rather than products, with a focus on winning forecast opportunities and managing large customer relationships. 

Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of Power Quality Solutions, High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems, and experience in renewable and power utility markets. 

Strategic and Communication Skills: Strategic thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to influence and work under pressure. 

Customer and Stakeholder Management: Proven skills in customer and stakeholder management, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. 

Additional Experience: Experience with LCIS, Grid Ancillary services, and leading complex solution-based opportunities.
