Role
Academy Music Group (AMG) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Sales Manager – Partnerships to drive revenue through strategic brand partnerships and sponsorships. This role will focus on identifying and developing partnerships that align with AMG’s brand and enhance the overall experience for our audience across live music venues and events. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in music, entertainment, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering and managing large-scale partnerships.
This role sits within the partnerships team at Academy Music Group, focusing on commercial opportunities across our venue estate. This is a new position within the department with a keen focus on local partners, partners at scale and digital commercial opportunities. The right candidate will have their own book of contacts and the ability to make and nurture new relationships for AMG with leading brands. This role will also support on proposals and building out new opportunities across out assets both physically in venue and digitally.
Based predominantly at our head office in Brixton, next to our O2 Academy Brixton venue, however, will also be required to work from Live Nation in Farringdon from time to time.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Experienced in sales, with a track record of success in a relevant industry (entertainment, sponsorship, events, etc.).
- Experience managing stakeholders at various levels, both internally and externally.
- Strong knowledge of the entertainment industry, current sponsorship trends, and future opportunities.
- An understanding of the broader business landscape, including legal, financial, marketing, and operational aspects.
- Excellent organisational, verbal and written communication and experience dealing with enquiries for a client or partner. Ability to represent the business in their communication.
- Ability to plan, manage workloads and organise using initiative.
- Awareness of the application of new marketing techniques including digital, social media and mobile applications.
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

What the role includes
- Driving new sponsorship revenue for AMG’s venue estate.
- Develop and implement a sales strategy that aligns with AMG’s growth goals.
- Identify and prospect potential brand partners across various sectors, including lifestyle, technology, beverages, and more.
- Adept at building out industry insights and trends, with a keen focus on local trends in areas with venues.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to create integrated sponsorship packages that leverage AMG assets, venues, and events.
- Drive revenue by negotiating and closing sponsorship and brand partnership deals across all AMG assets.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals through proactive and strategic selling techniques.
- Create compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations to effectively communicate partnership opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within partner organisations.
- Use data and insights to refine sales strategies, improve deal structures, and enhance sponsorship performance.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on progress, revenue, and KPIs.
